Introduction of electric golf carts

Transition from gasoline golf carts to electric golf carts

We are transitioning from gasoline golf carts to electric golf carts at our Group’s golf courses.
Through the shift to electric golf carts, we are working to reduce the amount of CO₂, a greenhouse gas, emitted from gasoline golf carts.

CO₂ reduction effect

Compared with gasoline golf carts, electric golf carts reduce CO₂ emissions by 1,250 tons.

Calculation method

・CO₂ emissions from gasoline carts Gasoline consumption per cart
 0.9 (L/round) x 300 (rounds/year) x 2,016 carts = 544,320 (L/year)
* Gasoline consumption per round uses averaged measurements by PGM.

・CO₂ emissions conversion CO₂ emissions per liter of gasoline
 2.3 (kg/L) x 544,320 (L/year)= 1,251,936 (kg) ≒ 1,250 (t)
* Source: Created based on the “Ministry Ordinance on the Calculation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Associated with the Business Activities of Specified Emitters”
(Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; Ministry of the Environment)
