Environmental pollution caused by marine plastic waste has spread globally in recent years, creating concerns over its impact on the ecosystem.
As one effort to tackle this global marine pollution issue, our Group is working as one to reduce plastic as much as possible in the products we provide to customers.

Discontinuation of plastic products (shift to alternatives)

Discontinuation of plastic straws
We have begun a transition to biomass products at all golf courses of our Group, and are gradually phasing out the use and consumption of plastic straws at golf courses.

*Biomass (PLA)straws: This environmentally friendly straw is made with 25% or more bioplastic content.

Shifting from plastic bags to biomass materials for shopping bags and changing room bags
At all of the Group’s golf course pro shops, we are gradually transitioning from plastic shopping bags to biomass material bags.

　　　　　

　

* Biomass shopping bags: The content of these bags is at least 25% plant-derived plastic made from waste molasses (the sugar syrup that remains after removing sugar from sugar cane). Environmentally friendly inks made from plant-derived materials are used for some of the printing ink. The bags conserve petroleum resources and reduce CO2 emissions.
